Joe Gomez professed that Liverpool is desirous than ever to preserve their title of Premier League champions.
“It was just a brief break and then we had the restart and then the time that we were off for a number of weeks and that was it,” the defender told the official website of Liverpool.
“But I think more than anything, the gaffer instills in us that it’s more than a physical half-time mental battle, so we’re going to be ready to have a strong squad to rotate when it’s needed.”
“The important problem is, we’re ready to go mentally and I believe everybody is much hungrier than ever before.”
