Liverpool Football Club and Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 1-1 draw at Anfield Stadium on Saturday night in the Premier League.

Heung-Min Son opened the scoring for the Spurs after an intelligent control by Kane. He laid it to the Ryan Sessegnon, who squared it to Son.

Liverpool kept the pressure on Tottenham as Luiz Diaz equalised for the Scousers.

Nevertheless, it was enough for Liverpool to get the three points, which gives Manchester City an advantage to go three points clear on top of the table.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is still chasing that elusive Champions League spot as they are one point behind Arsenal, who will play on Sunday afternoon.

Goals:

Spurs take the lead!!! Son is the scorer, after a brilliant move from the visitors. Before laying it to his left, Kane drives towards the goal to Sessegnon. The young winger keeps his composure to pull it back to Son in the middle, who strokes it into the back of the net to make it 1-0.

Liverpool is level!!! Diaz is the scorer, though his effort from 25 yards out takes a wicked deflection off Bentancur. He cut onto his right before firing at goal, and his shot comes off Bentancur’s leg and wrongfoots Lloris, nestling into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.

So, what’s next?

After today’s game, Liverpool will move to the top of the Premier League table just ahead on the goal difference.

Liverpool will be Aston Villa at Villa Park. Meanwhile, a massive game for Tottenham, who will face Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 12th May.
