Paul Pogba is a “leader-type” figure and remains a “complete player” at Manchester United, whatever his critics may think, says Jesse Lingard.
Lingard told Sky Sports: “I grew up with Paul so you could see the technical skills he had at such a young age when he first came in.”
“He went on to win the World Cup and many trophies with Juventus.”
“He’s a complete player, the all-round player. He is always positive and off the field he has good energy. He is professional and one of the greatest people that you can know.”
“In the dressing room he is always positive and he picks up the lads when they’re down. That also shows on the field.”
“It is difficult for the lads to get him off the ball because he is too powerful. He was the leader-type and always took on the role well.”
