Robert Lewandowski, Bayern forward expressed his views on abolishing Ballon d’Or in 2020.

“Someone has decided that there will be no Ballon d’Or this year. Maybe they made this decision too soon because the rest of the trophies are left. Many players, coaches, and journalists know that I have had my best season,” said Lewandowski to Daily Mail.

“Bayern has achieved a lot, it was amazing. I am glad that everyone saw it. These trophies are something beautiful, amazing. But I also know that each individual award belongs to the entire team.”

“It’s hard for a team to play without a striker, but a forward can’t play without a team either.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
