Raul has been named the greatest striker of all time ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Leo Franco has hailed former Real Madrid striker.
To join Schalke, Raul left Los Blancos in 2010, and to take his first coaching move he agreed to hang up his boots after spells at Al Sadd and New York Cosmos.
The Spaniard is in charge of Castilla Real Madrid at the moment.
“The best striker for me was Raul Gonzalez,” Leo Franco said in an interview for the YouTube channel Idolos. “He was [as good as] Messi and Cristiano combined in his time. It was crazy.”
