Mallorca was defeated 2-1 by Barcelona in La Liga

Barcelona secures a 2-1 win over Mallorca. The first half was a cagey affair, even if the hosts dominated possession.

Mallorca actually had a glorious chance to take the lead, only for Nino to smash his opportunity wide following Olivan’s drilled cross.

However, the hosts eventually took the lead when Depay finished Alba’s through-ball superbly.

Barcelona was much improved in the second period and doubled their lead through Busquet’s smart strike.

Depay had plenty of chances to finish the game off, but they allowed Mallorca back into the game when Raillo steered in Sevilla’s free-kick.

The visitors fought hard to try and find an equaliser, but Barcelona held on to end their run of poor form at home.
