In the third La Liga round, Atletico Madrid took on Villarreal at the Wanda Metropolitano but the game ended in a draw. The only highlight of the entire goalless first half was a succession of yellow cards. After the break both the teams improved considerably with the guests scoring the opener in the 52nd minute with Manu Trigueros putting the ball into the back of the net. Luis Suarez restored the parity just 4 minutes later.

15 minutes before the referee blew the final whistle making it 2-1 it was Arnaut Danjuma who upset the reigning champions of Spain. However, Diego Simeone’s men managed to equalize in an injury time with Villarreal scoring an own goal. For the first time this season, Atletico lost points now placing fifth before the international break.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
