Kylian Mbappe to leave PSG once the season ends. The 24-year-old is not pleased with the administration’s broken promises. According to reports, forwardof Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will inform the club’s board of his decision to depart next summer. He is upset with the PSG management, according to the Spanish news portal Sport, because they have not met their promises. In addition, the Frenchman hopes to advance professionally somewhere because he feels he has accomplished everything at the club.
Mbappe was on the verge of moving to Real Madrid in May since his deal with the French club was about to expire. He was offered a huge contract by the Parisians, making him the highest-paid footballer in the world, and they persuaded him to stay. According to the contract, he was also given the authority to weigh in on trade choices.
However, there is still some ambiguity over his future, particularly in light of allegations of a falling out between Mbappe and Neymar Jr. and later Lionel Messi. The recent 2022 FIFA World Cup final had Mbappe and Messi competing for France and Argentina, respectively. The two appeared to be congratulating one another on their accomplishments, raising the possibility that things are not going well with them. However, following the full-time whistle, they could be seen hugging each other.
Mbappe, 24, has already risen to the top of the game. He could, however, prefer to stand out on his own rather than have to share the spotlight with two other prominent figures. To expedite his exit, he reportedly plans to accept a pay cut, according to Sport. He hopes PSG will reduce their asking price so that it doesn’t prevent him from finding a new home.
Mbappe wants the club to bargain for a lower price than the €150 million Real Madrid is willing to pay for his services. Less than a year after signing his lucrative contract deal, it would be a full 180 in his transfer saga if he does push for an escape.
Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 after being acquired from Monaco for an astounding €180 million, originally on loan. In 238 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 191 goals and is nine goals shy of becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer. During this time, his contributions have helped the team win 11 championships, including four Ligue 1 titles, although he has yet to win a Champions League medal.
