Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman said he did not understand how Real Madrid, in their win against Eibar, avoided conceding a critical late penalty.

Koeman claims that in their victory over Eibar, nine out of 10 people would have awarded Real Madrid a late penalty.

Eibar pressed for a late equalizer when the hosts had appeals for a penalty turned down after the ball appeared to hit Sergio Ramos’s arm inside the penalty area.

“The day of the Madrid match, I said something that doesn’t need to be repeated,” Koeman said according to Marca.

“I think there are things that cannot be understood. I’m sure that if you ask 10 people if yesterday’s game is a penalty, nine will say yes.”

“The referee and his team have decided not to call it. But, well, we know.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
