Juventus scored fifth consecutive league game without defeat in the 27th round of the Italian Serie A as the Old Lady defeated Cagliari 3:1 away. Andrea Pirlo’s charges are still in the fight for the Scudetto, although they are still behind the teams from Milan.
Using a pass from Juan Cuadrado, Ronaldo opened the score already in the 10th minute. Less than a quarter of an hour later it was already 2:0 and again CR7 was in the starring role. Federico Chiesa made a clever pass to Cristiano Ronaldo in the box in the 32nd minute, and the Portuguese scored for the third time with a flat shot, completing his hat trick before the break.
After the change of sides, the hosts tried to make up for the loss. In the 61st minute, they finally managed to beat Wojciech Szczesny, who capitalized on Giovanni Simeone’s strike.
Five minutes later, it got hot again in the visitors’ penalty area, Joao Pedro fell in a clash with a defender and Cagliari players demanded a penalty kick, but the referee remained adamant.
Cristiano Ronaldo demanded a penalty kick a few minutes later, in a similar situation, but again the whistle was silent.
At the end of the meeting, the score remained unchanged and Juventus recorded on his account certain three points, still remaining in the game for the championship.
