Jose Mourinho: Bale can help Tottenham in Kane’s absence

Gareth Bale can prove himself in the absence of the injured Harry Kane, says Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho.

“This is a crucial period for Gareth. He is feeling better and better. When a player of Kane’s level gets injured, the others have to step up and I hope Bale can help us,” said Mourinho to Sky Sports.

“As for Gareth’s position on the pitch, he prefers to play in the position we always put him in, which is attacking flank.”
