Scotland is set to play against the Netherlands in a friendly match for a Euro 2020 warm-up on Wednesday. Midfielder John Fleck would miss Scotland vs Netherlands match after he tested positive for coronavirus. Sky Sports claims that John Fleck tested positive for coronavirus at Scotland’s pre-Euro 2020 training camp in Alicante.

The Sheffield United midfielder is staying at La Finca, where the Scotland squad has been staying for the past four days, and did go with the rest of his teammates to Portugal for Wednesday’s friendly against the Netherlands.

Scotland will host Czech Republic in Glasgow on June 14 but before that the team will play against Luxembourg in a friendly on Sunday.

Following five-cap Fleck’s positive result, the rest of the squad was tested on Tuesday, and all returned negative results.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke said: “He has no symptoms. Obviously, he’s got to isolate for a few days so we’ll keep an eye on him and look after him like we do everybody. So hopefully it stops there.

“We’re looking at the information we’ve got and relying on the doctors and the medical opinions and we’re 90 per cent sure that John brought it into the camp.

“It’s one of those things. We know the state of the world at the moment with the pandemic. We just have to deal with it, as other countries might have to deal with it as well.”

Scotland vs Netherlands Euro 2020 warm-up match will kick off at 7:45 pm at Estadio Algarve football stadium, Faro, Portugal.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
