Harry Kane reacts to the World Cup Goal. The contentious Bruno Fernandes goal would have been credited to Harry Kane of England rather than Cristiano Ronaldo. In 2018, when playing for Tottenham Hotspur, Kane had a similar scenario when he scored off a cross from Christian Eriksen. The Englishman asked for the goal to be given to him, and after an investigation, the goal was finally delivered to him.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo was not given credit for the goal because, to put it simply, he did not touch the ball. Rightfully, Bruno Fernandes was given credit for scoring the goals. The English captain said; “I could see the Portuguese player’s perspective and added that if the ball had touched his head, he would have reacted similarly. I would have claimed it if it had touched me. Of course, only Ronaldo is aware of the outcome. I’m sure he’d want it if he touched it since he’s aiming for many goal records himself, Kane added. As group B’s victor, England’s team, headed by Harry Kane, has advanced to the round of 16, where they will play Senegal. Portugal, on the other hand, won Group H and will face Poland in the round of 16, where Cristiano Ronaldo will look to increase his goal total.”

Only one goal has been scored by Cristiano Ronaldo in the FIFA World Cup so far, and it came from the penalty spot in their group-stage opener against Ghana. Since then, he has been unable to score in the competition. In contrast, Harry Kane has three assists to his name but has not yet scored a goal in Qatar. When England plays Senegal in the round of 16, he hopes to return to the goal-scoring mix.

“You become a little happier at the office when you score goals. You’re a little more relaxed. I’m the type of person who wants to score in every game, but as you get experience, you realize that it won’t happen in every game, so you have to have patience. I attempt to consider my overall game. Do I have any room for improvement? Is there a reason I’m not succeeding?” Kane further added, “However, sometimes the ball just happens to land in your favor, and other times it doesn’t”

“So I make an effort not to dwell on it too much. The greatest strategy is to simply enter every game with the same frame of mind. The most crucial thing is to attempt to win the game; if chances or goals present themselves, seize them”, advised Harry Kane. In the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as the Three Lions advanced to the semifinals, the England captain was notable for becoming the tournament’s highest scorer.
