Haaland got an offer. Erling Haaland has received a 28-day loan offer from non-league team Ashton United from Manchester City to continue playing through the World Cup. On November 14, Ashton United, a team in the seventh tier of English football, stated to confirm they had made an approach to City for a 28-day loan of Haaland.

Ashton United can confirm that the club has submitted a 28-day loan approach for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, according to a statement posted to the club’s website. The 2022 FIFA World Cup prevents the reigning Premier League winners from playing until late December, therefore The Robins have contacted our neighbors at the Ethiad to maintain Haaland’s match fitness while he is absent from Qatar.

Michael Clegg, the club manager, added, “It just makes sense.” It makes more sense for Erling to stay in shape than to play golf for six weeks if City isn’t playing and we want to help. We believe he will fit in well with our squad dynamic and will be a terrific fit for us.

Norway’s failure to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar means that Haaland will be absent from the event. Although The Robins, who play at Hurst Cross and are within a 20-minute drive from the Etihad Stadium, has offered him the option to stay match-fit, they have done so quite jokingly. He still intends to take some time off for vacation at that time.

He would be available for a stretch of four games, with a fifth game being missed due to international duty if City and Haaland were to accept the offer in some way. Most likely not Ashton. Instead, the 22-year-old is planning a vacation in the sun and a break in his native country before going back to train, naturally with City, in Beswick.
