reported that he is going to retire after the 2022 MLS Season. Hitman Higuain was a player for Juventus, Napoli, Chelsea, and Real Madrid and is now retiring from his notable career once he finishes the season with Inter Miami.
In a press conference, Higuan said, “I told my club, is not going to be another day after day.” He also added, “For years, I have been working on it, to enjoyed playing football and it has been a great pleasure, I came for my brother Fede, there was another stage in my career and the love and devotion I got from my supporters and my club and my teammates. They all gave me the desire to play football. Now, is the time that I should retire as my dreams and my goals have already been achieved. Striking Goals, and having fun with my teammates were all that I wanted and I have received it all with love.”
Higuain has been trying for the Inter Miami even after scoring 12 goals within 14 games that he has played, he wants to push Miami towards the MLS Cup playoffs. He is one of the best strikers of the generation having won many titles in Spain and Italy. He has over 300 club career goals to his name along with 75 caps for Argentina alone where he scored impressive 31 goals.
What is to come for Miami and Gonzalo Higuain is that the Miami Club have two more games left with the regular season and they now currently hold onto the final and seventh Eastern Conference playoff spot. Now, there’s another match that is next for Miami with Orlando City on Wednesday, and soon the season finale against Montreal.
