Gianluca Vialli, former Juventus and Chelsea player formulated his belief that the attacking Atalanta player Alejandro Gomez is worth of the Golden Ball.
“Papu Gomez developed over the years, now he is a perfect player. He gives both quality and quantity and decides matches. He is great, but there are players like Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, and Lewandowski. I would give the Golden Ball to Gomez, but doing this is not easy,” Vialli told in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I really like Atalanta. I would like to play in this team since Gasperini football is ideal for the striker. They derive pleasure, are full of courage and spirit, and always play as a team.”
Gomez spends the seventh season at Atalanta.
The 32-year-old Argentinean, over the past 5 seasons of Serie A, scored at least 17 points in the goal + pass system.
