Genoa has 12 games without a win and is now in 19th place in Serie A

The club officially confirmed its parting with coach Ronald Maran today.

Genoa was left without a coach after the defeat by Benevento (0-2).

“The club thanks Maran and his assistants for their commitment to the job,” the statement said.

Maran will apparently be substituted by Davide Balardini on the bench.

He will have his debut on Wednesday at 20:45 away at Spezia.

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
