Fulham recorded their first Premier League season win with two goals in five minutes at the end of the first half, which were more than enough for Fulham to defeat West Brom.
Throughout, Scott Parker’s side was the superior team after Aleksander Mitrovic nodded Antonee Robinson’s deep cross back to him and rightfully took the lead when Bobby De Cordova-Reid went back home.
The second was much better on the half-hour mark, Mitrovic laid the ball off again, but when the ball came to him 25 yards back, Ola Aina had a lot to do just for him to launch an arrow into the top left-hand corner, leaving Sam Johnstone with no chance.
West Brom never really tried to decrease the margin and the nearest the game got to another goal was when Cordova-Reid shot the ball into Semi Ajayi’s elbow from six yards back, denying Fulham a third and curiously not awarding a penalty, with Johnstone out of his goal and Conor Townsend blocking Tom Cairney’s curling attempt.
Now Fulham remains outside the relegation zone with four points and, just a point behind Albion and a third-bottom spot behind them.
Fulham – West Brom 2-0
Goals: Reid (26), Aina (30)
