Former Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert acknowledges that a Kylian Mbappe dream offer may be “out of reach” and hopes that Nike’s partnership with Liverpool would eventually deliver a “marquee signing” to Anfield.

“I’d like to see Liverpool add at least one more forward to assist with the results, support the three front and make it a bit more pressure,” said Lambert to talkSPORT.

“I was hoping of Nike taking over, they still have a marquee signing any time you take over a team. I also wished Mbappe or something. But to be frank I think he is out of our reach.”

Writing about football is one of my favorite things to do. As a football writer, I love the rush of being in the stadium on game day and watching all the action live. It's like no other feeling for me. I'm passionate about writing about it, but until recently I've been doing it as a hobby rather than a profession.
