Head coach Zinedine Zidane will stay at the helm of Real Madrid despite a Spanish Cup exit from Alcoyano, claims Marca.
“Real Madrid, as we have reported, will wait until June to change course. What does that mean? Zidane will lead the team in the match against Alaves. He will stay on as Real Madrid coach. The idea is that he will remain at the helm until the end of this season,” wrote Marca journalist José Felix Diaz.
“The management believes that now is not the time to show the coach the way out. The final test awaits him at the end of the season.”
“It is acknowledged that the atmosphere in the team is not the best because of all the problems that surround the squad and that the results are very poor and far from what is required of Real Madrid.”
“While the managers are aware of the need to change and start a new cycle, they understand that they need to start from scratch and not in the middle of the season.
What Zidane has done for Real also plays an important role. But the coach knows that football is about results.”
