Wolverhampton is exhibiting a strong interest in the likelihood of signing Brazilian striker Douglas Costa, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Juventus, claims The Telegraph.
The player traveled to Munich in the hope of gaining some game practice after failing to establish himself properly with the Old Lady, but the competition against Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, and Kingsley Coman proved to be overwhelming for him.
As a result, Costa only appeared on the pitch for Bayern in 19 games (644 minutes) in the new season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
The Brazilian will return to Turin, where he will have one more year of a full contract with Juve, once his loan at Munich expires in the summer of 2021.
According to Transfermarkt, Douglas Costa’s current transfer value is €20m.
Bayern’s next match in which the striker could feature will be on Sunday, January 24, when the Munich club plays away against Schalke.
