West Ham accomplished Benrahma’s signature

Over the Brentford star’s future, there was uncertainty, but West Ham has now finally completed the signing of Said Benrahma.

After weeks of speculation, only for reports to emerge of complications with his doctor on Friday the 25-year-old appeared set to move to London Stadium.

Benrahma had not failed his physician, maintained manager David Moyes but could not offer any guarantees that the agreement would be completed before the 1700 local time deadline.

Nevertheless, the Hammers later confirmed that they had secured the signing of an international loan from Algeria with a permanent agreement obligation.

“West Ham is a historic club that has been in the Premier League for a very long time. It included good players and still includes them. It’s a massive club in England,” said Benrahma through the website of the club.

“I spoke to the manager, so I know exactly what he expects from me. On the pitch, I’m going to try to meet his expectations because he placed faith in me and hopefully I can return it on the pitch.”

“I like this opportunity [to play in the Premier League]! First and foremost, I play football to enjoy myself, but it’s always fun to know that you’re joining the world’s most-watched league, so I’m definitely looking forward to showing you what I can do.”

Benrahma arrived in July 2018 from Nice and was brilliant for Brentford.
