Next season Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic will form a lethal partnership at Chelsea, claims Red Bull Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch being very confident.
“Timo is an incredible player, an aggressive attacker, a fantastic scorer, and a wise footballer,” Marsch told Goal regarding the former Leipzig striker.
“Chelsea has picked up a world-class player for a relatively cheap price.”
“I am really excited about Timo because there’s not a lot of Germans leaving. I’m very happy that Timo steps beyond his comfort zone to test himself to a new stage and I know he’s going to be praised throughout his career for that.”
Marsch thinks the 21-year-old attacking midfielder, like Werner, will profit from a transfer from the Premier League: “Havertz is another player I think needs to get out of his comfort zone and he has great potential.”
“All I learned about Germans is that they don’t want to go out of their comfort zone; they don’t really want to describe stuff, to have rules, and to be uncomfortable.”
“I also hope it should be recompensed with the more skills that challenge themselves in another culture.”
