Villarreal entered the final of the Europa League football tournament with a 2–1 aggregate win, holding Arsenal to a goalless draw in the second leg of the semi-finals. Villarreal will take on Manchester United in the final. The final will be played on May 26 in Poland. Villarreal won 2–1 in the first leg against Arsenal which ultimately proved decisive.
Villarreal’s manager Unai Emery is thus only one step away from the fourth title in the Europa League. It was during his time that Selvia won three consecutive titles. Emery was previously Arsenal’s manager. He was removed from the post by Arsenal last season. It was under him that Arsenal reached the Europa League final two years ago.

At the same time, Manchester United may have suffered a 2-3 defeat against Roma in the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals, but they reached the final of the tournament with an 8-5 win on the basis of the total score.
