David Silva has ended his 10-year trophy-laden stay at Manchester City and received a tribute from Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne.

To keep him at City until the end of the season Silva had signed a short-term contract extension in the middle of the coronavirus crisis and now the 34-year-old eventually ended his 10-year tenure at Etihad Stadium following Saturday’s defeat of the club in the Champions League to Lyon.
City unveiled plans to immortalize Silva in the form of a statue on Monday while representing his contribution to Manchester United’s 6-1 loss in 2011 the World Cup-winning midfielder will also have a tailor-made mosaic dedicated to him.
Current team-mate Aguero, who joined City a year after Silva, paid tribute on Twitter to the playmaker.
“We learned a lot from you. Everyday,” Aguero tweeted. “You made Man City bigger and you made us better. It was an honor to have shared all these years with you and with so many achievements. We will miss you. All the best in what comes. Eternally thank you.”
“Sad to see this man leave the club after an incredible 10 years,” De Bruyne posted on Instagram. “It was an honor to play with and wish you all the best in the future, my friend.”
