Tottenham Hotspur ended contract proceedings with Inter Milan for Tanguy Ndombele and planned to provide one more chance to the midfielder in the next season.
France International has failed to make an impact at Tottenham, after joining from Lyon in a £55 m club deal signed 13 months ago.
Barcelona is also heard to put interest in signing Ndombele, but Inter is believed to be the only side that has established Spurs’ contact.
The Daily Mail says, that Tottenham does not plan to rekindle negotiations this summer and has dismissed the attempts by Inter to take the 23-year-old hostage.
Tottenham is expected to assume that once Ndombele overcomes his problems of health and injury he will be able to give even more next season, with boss Jose Mourinho planning to use him more frequently.
