In English League Cup 16th round match Tottenham beat Chelsea on penalties. After 90 minutes it was 1: 1.
Timo Werner scored in the 19th For Chelsea, in the 84th minute Eric Lamela equalized the score, but the star of the evening was Jose Mourinho.
The Spurs coach had a loud quarrel with Frank Lampard, his former player, and today the Chelsea coach, in the 27th minute of the match. Mourinho was bothered by Lampard’s behavior, so he told him to sit down and shut up.
The match was not overly interesting, but Mourinho made a circus again in the 77th minute. In the midst of Chelsea’s attack, Eric Dier ran into the locker room, probably because he had to go to the loo. But an angry Mourinho followed him into the tunnel and sent him back to the field.
As the match approached the end Tottenham squeezed and came to equalize with Lamela’s goal. The Spurs were unmistakable from the white spot and Mason Mount, who hit the post in the final set, sent them to the quarterfinals.
