Bayern Munich expelled Corentin Tolisso from the squad for the game before the Munich club beat Hoffenheim 4-1 without too much drama yesterday.
The reason for this move is the tattoo.
The club’s management stunned by the French midfielder as he posted a video of himself tattooing on social media, violating the Bundesliga’s measures to protect against coronavirus.
“We are happy that Bundesliga matches can be played despite the situation, but the condition is that the players, coaches and other employees adhere to health measures. Tolisso violated them even though the club clearly exposed them to the players. It is frustrating and we will not tolerate it.” Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said in a statement.
“It is absolutely forbidden in our country. He is very sorry that this happened, but nothing can be changed,” added coach Hansi Flick.
Meanwhile, Tolisso publicly apologized for violating the protocol, but the apology did not save him from the club’s suspension.
