Tokyo Olympics Men’s football highlights

The quarterfinals of the 2020 Men’s Olympic Football are almost set. We have noted down football highlights of the recent matches of Men’s tournament played at Tokyo Olympics.  

Germany vs Ivory Coast – 1:1 

At the Miyagi Stadium, Germany played a 1-1 draw with the Ivory Coast. Following the match the Germans have been eliminated in the group stage finishing third. The Ivorian team made it to the playoffs as runner-up of the group D.

Brazil vs Saudi Arabia – 3:1

Brazil defeated Saudi Araba with a 3:1 score, thanks to Everton striker Richarlison’s double strike. This advanced the defending champions to the quarterfinals stage of the Men’s Olympics soccer tournament.

South Korea vs Honduras 6 – 0

South Korea dominated Honduras with a total of six goals. Ui-jo Hwang took the lead for the Korean team in the 12th minute.

Ui-jo Hwang and Doo-Jae Won both scored a pair of goals each pushing the South Korea football team to the quarter-finals. Rest two goals were netted by Jin-Ya Kim and Kang-In Lee. The Hondurans are eliminated from Olympic Games.

Romania vs New Zealand 0 – 0

New Zealand books quarter-final spot for the first time at Tokyo Olympics, although OlyWhites played a goalless draw with Romania.
