Thomas Tuchel, the new Chelsea head coach wants to strengthen the squad.
The 47-year-old will receive support from the club in the summer transfer window, writes the Daily Mail. The German wants Chelsea to sign a central striker. The coach’s priority option is Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland.
For former Blues head coach Frank Lampard, a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice was a priority and in addition, following Tuchel’s appointment, the London club is likely to drop the option of acquiring the 22-year-old Englishman.
Tuchel is suspected to proceed to follow Lampard’s path when it comes to the club’s youngsters.
The German specialist sees Mason Mount, Reece James, and Tammy Abraham as key players in the team and will give the players opportunities to prove themselves.
