Thomas Muller, Bayern forward illustrated after the Champions League match against Red Bull Salzburg.
“Salzburg style of playing was known to us, so the game was no surprise to me. The opponent played very intensely, with great risk.”
“Their game was like ours, but they had less control. But they combined a lot, looking for ways to go deep. It was clear that the match would be an exchange of kicks,” said Muller to Bayern official website.
“Salzburg played boldly and was partly rewarded for it. But in the course of the match, they left gaps in the defense. We had a few chances to score 3-1, but we missed them. And then there was a classic: if you don’t score, you get scored.”
“After 2:2, the game became exciting. But if you have such attacking players to replace, then you get a trump card.”
