Montreal head coach Thierry Henry resigned for family reasons, announced the club.
“It is with a heavy heart that I made this decision. Last year was incredibly difficult for me, I couldn’t see my children because of the coronavirus pandemic,” the coach said.
“Unfortunately, due to existing restrictions, the situation will not change and the separation is too much for me and my children.”
“It is with great sadness that I have to make the decision to return to London, leaving Montreal,” Henri said.”
The former Arsenal forward took charge of the Canadian club on 14 November 2019 and for the first time since 2016 led the team to the MLS play-offs in 2020.
