The visitor Marseille defeated PSG in the French Championship

In the derby of the 3rd round of the French championship, as guests at the Princes’ Park, the Marseille footballers defeated Paris SG 1-0 (1-0).

For Marseille’s first win at Princes Park in nine years, a goal worth three points was scored by Thauvin in the 31st minute.

One less with a game less than Rennes, Monaco, and Lille, Marseille is now fifth in the table with six points, and with the same performance as Saint-Etienne, Lens, and Nice, while Paris SG is only 17th without points from two matches played.

In the very end of the match, the unconvincing referee Brissard showed as many as five red cards, three to the home team and two to the away players. PSG striker Neymar was the biggest culprit for the fight on the pitch, he hit his opponents several times in the head, and he only received a red card after reviewing the video.

The Monaco footballers as hosts defeated Nantes 2-1 (1-0) and thus joined Rennes and Lille at the top of the table. Diop scored a goal in 5 minutes and Monaco took the lead, Blas (62) equalized at 1-1, but soon after the new leadership of the team from the Principality was secured by Geubbels (65).

Monaco now has seven points, as does Rennes, who beat Nimes 4-2 as a guest earlier on Sunday, and Lille, who beat Metz 1-0 at home in the first match of Sunday’s program.
