Walter Zenga ‘thinks’ the season for Radja Nainggolan’s over and scored a 3-0 victory yesterday at Cagliari for ‘gifting’ Sampdoria.
Zenga was frustrated with the ‘lack of confidence’ that his team was moving ahead and Cagliari had no answer to Samp’s three goals, (via Football Italia).
“We lacked conviction in our shooting, then we gifted them two goals, which crippled us,” he said after the game.
“We switched to a back four in the second half, but it didn’t do anything. Rather, we did better in the first half. Federico Bonazzoli was particularly deadly, scoring for Samp with a brace.”
“He was very good, but it’s difficult to stay in the game after conceding similar goals. You pay for these mistakes in Serie A.”
“My frustrations come from the fact that we were playing well and covering the pitch well.”
With a calf injury, Nainggolan skipped the trip to Marassi so how bad is that?
“I think his season is over, in part because there are only two weeks left.”
