Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora ‘seems to hate soccer,’ as he said this morning that until a new medical procedure can be decided, the government is ready to announce the end of the soccer season.
Serie B wants to finish the season in August said Empoli’s President Fabrizio Corsi, he thinks that the Sports Minister hates Soccer.
“All the other leagues are ready to resume with protocols to be applied in case of contagion. Here we are all waiting for money to somehow magically fall from the sky, Corsi said to Itasportpress
“ I am referring to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and Minister for Sport Spadafora and I am disappointed by what is happening in Italy.”
“It seems to me as if the latter hates football and he cannot afford to do that, seeing as football finances all the other sports in this country. We ought to get back to playing, even if it means July and August, and I am perfectly in sync with FIGC President Gabriele Gravina and Lega Serie B President Mauro Balata.
“As my friend (Monza CEO) Adriano Galliani says, if we close our season early, our European competitors will enjoy a huge advantage over the Italian product, and we’ll end up showing bar tournaments in July…
“The TV rights companies have already requested a discount from the clubs. The economic impact would be immense, and some sides would run very serious risks of going under,” concluded Corsi.
