An agreement has been reached by Luis Suarez to join Juve on a deal worth €10m a year, according to Sky Sports Italy and Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Terminating Suarez’s contract is said to have cost the La Liga club £22 m in severance and Andrea Pirlo’s side is reportedly waiting for the 33-year-old to terminate his Barca contract before securing his services.
If Suarez joins Juventus, he is likely to take advantage of the Italian Government’s growth decree, which will allow the club to save nearly 50% of its wages in two years.
It’s known that Juventus requires an out-and-out striker to complement Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala. The Uruguay International can help Juve win their first Champions League title since 1996 and is capable of bringing immediate success, however, Suarez is not a long-term option for the Serie A club. Time is running out for Ronaldo-and Suarez himself to win another.
