Stewart’s hat-trick helped Jamshedpur FC beat Odisha FC

A hat-trick from Scottish striker Greg Stewart helped Jamshedpur FC achieve a major victory on Tuesday. Jamshedpur FC beat Odisha FC 4-0 in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 league match played at Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco. With this win, Jamshedpur FC has moved up from fourth to the second position. Jamshedpur FC, under the supervision of Scottish coach Owen Coyle, has 11 points from three wins and two draws in six matches. On the other hand, Odisha FC has slipped from second place to fourth place due to their second loss and has taken nine points from three wins in five matches.

Jamshedpur started off with a stormy start, in which Odisha’s challenge was completely dashed after a slight haze on the Tilak ground cleared. The players scored four goals in the first half of the football match. After two goals within the first four minutes, the third goal in the 21st minute and the fourth goal in the 35th minute was also scored. For that, captain Peter Hartley scored the first and Greg Stewart scored the next three goals. No goal was scored in the second half.

Jamshedpur took a 1-0 lead in the third minute of the game with a goal from Peter Hartley. In the next minute, Stewart doubled the lead hitting the Odisha defenders to make the scoreboard look 2-0. After a brief pause, Greg Stewart scored his second and third goal of the match in the 21st minute. Stewart completed his hat-trick by scoring the third goal in the 35th minute and Scottish coach Owen’s team took a strong 4-0 lead. This is the first hat-trick of Hero ISL 2021-22 season.
