England slumped to a 1-0 loss to Denmark on Wednesday, and Southgate is coming in for some criticism as a result.
After the Three Lions were beaten 1-0 by Denmark in the Nations League, Gary Neville has hit out at England boss Gareth Southgate for his tactical set-up.
Neville thinks his formation did not fit for the players he had in the squad and some assume that, in spite of being down to ten men, Southgate set up too defensively.
The Sky Sports pundit took to Twitter on Thursday morning to post: “The issue with the 3-4-3 within the last two games is you end up with 8 ( inc GK ) defensive / positionally rigid players on the pitch.”
“If you add Harry Kane to that who is more of a fixed Striker you have 9 players that don’t interchange and rotate. It’s a little predictable.”
