On Thursday at Everton, Southampton fought for a 1-1 Premier League draw to maintain its 12th-place table spot.
When Danny Ings corralled the intended pass from Stuart Armstrong, he scored his 20th goal of the season, before flicking the ball into the net to give Southampton a deserved 1-0 lead on 31 minutes.
But Richarlison canceled Southampton’s lead after Lucas Digne selected the forward with a ball splitting the defense and allowing the forward to shoot past Alex McCarthy.
