Graeme Souness has emphasized on defending his latest judgment of Paul Pogba, as the Manchester United midfielder is still not working hard enough.
The harshest critic of the Frenchman in recent times has been Liverpool legend Souness, which led to an April exchange of words between the two men.
Against Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United, Pogba has hit the ground running with impressive displays, since returning from a long-term foot injury.
However, Souness feels that if he is to fulfill his potential at Old Trafford, the 27-year-old can offer still more.
“I get hammered for it,” he told Sky Sports News. “I am not going to say I am a fan of him, I am a fan of his talent.”
“Midfield is the only position on the pitch where someone wants to do the exact same job you’re doing. I am a fan of his ability. But I want him to work harder.”
United moved back to Chelsea with a 3-0 win over Sheff Utd on Wednesday, on Thursday, within two points of fourth-place Chelsea will play their game in hand against Manchester City.
