Simone Zaza responded with a brace in the 2-2 draw between Benevento and Torino, an entertaining match that included three disallowed goals.
Simone Zaza first responded with a header to pull Toro one back, before he had a goal disallowed for a handball in the build-up and then Andrea Belotti’s attempt was ruled out for offside.
The home side started the match best, and in the initial minutes Kamil Glik had a goal disallowed for handball before Nicolas Viola scored on his return to action from the penalty spot after 32 minutes.
Gianluca Lapadula then added a second four minutes into the second half, when his half-volley hit a Torino defender and found the near corner behind Salvatore Sirigu.
In stoppages, Zaza appeared again to slide home a through ball from Belotti and help Davide Nicola to a point in his first game in charge.
