Sergio Aguero retired from football due to heart problem

Argentina star and Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero retired from football on Wednesday. Aguero, 33, took this decision due to a serious heart condition. While announcing it at the press conference on Wednesday, he wept bitterly. He said that I have decided not to play professional football.

Retired Sergio Aguero said: “It is a very difficult time for me, but I am happy with my decision. For any player his health is paramount.” Aguero played for English club Manchester City for 10 years before joining Barcelona last season. He came to Barcelona as a free football transfer. He has been battling heart and breathing problems since October this year. He had to face troubles after the La Liga match against Alaves. Aguero was accompanied by Barcelona club president Joan Laporta at the press conference.

Aguero, 33, moved to Barcelona from Manchester City in July. Earlier, he helped Argentina’s team to win the Copa America title. He also tested coronavirus positive after coming to Barcelona. On October 30, he was admitted to the hospital after having breathing problems. The club then informed that his heart was tested in November. After this the club said that Aguero would not play for the next three months. Only after recovering will Aguero return to the field. At that time he also said that he still had hope of returning to the field.

Aguero is Manchester City’s all-time record goal scorer. He scored a total of 260 goals for the club. Aguero also holds the record for scoring the most goals for a single club in Premier League history. He scored 184 goals in 275 matches while playing for Manchester City in the Premier League.
