Rummenigge: Robert Lewandowski was the best in 2020

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern Munich chairman spoke about forward Robert Lewandowski.

“Robert was the best in 2020. He scored a lot of goals and won five trophies. It was really impossible to perform better than him,” said Rummenigge to Tuttosport.

“I called Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, and told him it was no good that there would be a hole in the world’s top player’s lists in 2020 due to the cancellation of the Ballon d’Or.” 

“Despite the coronavirus, the major leagues have come to an end and the strongest players have played an important role even during the pandemic. Lewandowski did the most.”
