Jorge Mendes, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, has addressed rumours linking the striker with a move away from Manchester United. Among football highlights on the superstar, Mendes, Ronaldo’s representative has refuted rumours of a relocation away from Manchester’s Old Trafford.
Ronaldo returned to Manchester United from Juventus in the summer after 11 years away. In the summer transfer window, CR7 committed to a two-season contract with the option of an extra year.
The 36-year-old said he had retraced his steps with a view to adding more silverware to his exemplary playing career.
But since then, the Red Devils have endured a poor start to the 2021-22 campaign.
And now, whispers around Old Trafford are questioning his loyalty to his former and current club.
Ronaldo’s Representative Has Refuted Rumours of a Relocation
There are suggestions that Ronaldo could look to leave Manchester United in the winter transfer window in January, 2022.
An April Fool’s Day-style report from Spain even claimed that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has offered himself to Barcelona.
Mendes has now come out to clarify Ronaldo’s future, insisting he is fully focusing on his duties at Old Trafford.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is very happy at Man United,” Ronaldo’s agent has told Sky Italia. “He’s going to continue with his solid, great performances as always in his career. It’s going to be a great season for him, I’m sure.”
