Ronald Koeman, Barcelona’s head coach spoke on the defeat from Cadiz (1:2).
“It is difficult to explain this defeat. We had good matches before that. We were not too good in the first half. In the second half, Barca played better, but we lost because of a mistake that you do not expect from our team. It was unbelievable,” said Koeman to Marca.
“You can’t concede after such a serve [out]. We missed it because of the lack of concentration. The mood today was not very good, not just for the defenders. When we play without the ball, we lack aggressiveness. We may have missed because of that.”
“This defeat is a huge step back in the fight for the title. It is disappointing, but we have to accept it. 12 points behind such a strong team as Atletico is a lot.”
“There are still games ahead, but if we don’t change our attitude and deal with the unstable game on the road, there will be nothing more to say.”
