Romelu Lukaku may return to England

Romelu Lukaku, Inter Milan forward has reportedly emerged as Manchester City’s possible transfer target.

Sergio Aguero is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium, putting City in a situation that they will need a direct replacement when his contract expires in the summer.

Club officials have described Lukaku as the ideal alternative to the iconic Argentine, according to The Athletic.

In all competitions, the 27-year-old has contributed 54 goals from 78 games since he left Manchester United for San Siro in 2019.

The report claims that behind the scenes at City, Lukaku has a number of admirers, placing him at the top of the summer shortlist of the club.
