For striker Ezequiel Ponce Argentina’s Newell’s Old Boys have sued Roma for a price of €2.5 m.
In the next three transfer windows, FIFA has averted Newell’s from signing new players.
According to Football Italia, the club argued on the money they owe from many sales and appealed for the fine.
When Giallorossi agreed to pay €4.2 m for the 23-year-old, in summer 2015, Ponce moved to Roma.
He never made a higher appearance at the Olimpico, but then moved on a loan to Granada, Lille and AEK Athens.
Roma still owes Newell’s €2.5 m, and Newell’s are sanctioned €3.2 m of the fee,
Subsequently, last year the attacker took a departure from the Russian Spartak Moscow outfit for €8 m.
