According to Roberto Ayala, it is not inappropriate to compare Leo Messi with Diego Maradona. The former Argentinian player and current assistant talked about the couple.
The Argentine defender is currently under Lionel Scaloni a coach in the country’s set-up, who has played both for the national team.
Ayala told Fox Sports, “I was playing with both of them, and I was taking my first steps with Diego. They are two giants in football and Messi will be remembered when he retires.”
“I don’t know if it’s going to be like Diego, that’s not important. And they’re different.
“Diego was pure art in all his mannerisms, Messi a Speedy Gonzalez carrying the ball from his foot two centimeters.”
