Rennes leads the table in the French football championship

In the derby of the French football championship sixth round, Lyon and Marseille played 1-1.

Dimitri Payet’s goal helped the guests take the lead in the 16th minute but just three minutes later for a sharp foul on Leo Dubois, Payet earned a red card.

With an identical result, Lille beat Strasbourg away. Scorers for the guest were Mehmet Celik (21), Renato Sanches (54), and Burak Yilmaz (68), Domagoj Bradarić played the entire match.

Metz defeated Lorient 3-1 on the wings of triple scorer Ibrahim Niane (44-11m, 59, 64).

Rennes leads the table with 14 points ahead of Lille, also with 14 points, while Lensa has 13 points. PSG is fourth with 12 points.
