At the end of the season, Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane could leave the team.
The 27-year-old’s future depends on whether he extends his contract with the Madrid club.
If Varane does not show interest in extending his contract in the near future, Real Madrid will try to sell him in the summer, according to Marca. The Frenchman’s current deal expires in June 2022.
For the club, Varane’s contract extension is a priority. His transfer value is estimated at around €70m.
It should be noted that Real Madrid is yet to agree on a new contract with another center-back, Sergio Ramos, who will become a free agent in the summer.
